Virgin securitises its airport slots

Nov 2015: Virgin has securitised some of its airposrt slots and raised £220m in a deal widely hailed as the first in Europe, and which won Herbert Smith Freehills 2016 Finance Team in the Legal500 awards. It seems to me however, that British Airways did the same type of securitisation back in 2012 so they claim first spot.
